Yamaha introduced its iconic Vmax in mid 80’s, the Japanese power cruiser is equipped with 1690cc engine, a tuned version of the double overhead camshaft, four valve per cylinder, liquid-cooled V-4. Vmax the fastest Japanese cruiser, which was directly competing with Amercian V-Rod, a Harley Davidson variant but still unable to meet riders comfort and Euro IV emission standards.

Yamaha opted to continue Vmax till 2005, than replaced with new chassis, state of the art braking system and upgraded components. Yamaha’s Vmax was completely re-designed in 2009 with aluminium frame with its 1,679 cc liquid-cooled V4 DOHC engine, (YCC-I) Yamaha Chip Controlled Intake, anti-lock brakes, fully adjustable suspension, a fuel tank beneath the seat, and a distinctive key.

Now Yamaha has decided to dis-continue this power cruiser in 2020.
