CM Sindh Approves New Buses for Karachi

The transport conditions in the country, Pakistan have been deteriorating for a while now. However, it was pretty unfortunate to see that no one is taking major steps to deal with these rising issues. In the recent years,  we as a nation did notice some advances being made in transport in Punjab. Such as Metro station as well as Orange line to name few. On the contrary, there was almost no advancement in Karachi City in the matter of transport. One thing which is worth mentioning is that the past year turned out to be little fruitful for the Karachiites. Not only there we witnessed some development and construction of roads. Yet we did also witness, the foundation of some major transport plans being laid.

Among all these projects, Karachi City also got a grant of new buses. Under the leadership of Chief Minister of Sindh, Mr. Murad Ali Shah, grant of PKR.195million has been approved. This grant is approved under the intracity projects for Karachi City. The main aim is to utilize this amount for transport betterment at Shahrah-e-Faisal. In order to approve transport situation and to reduce the chaos. The objective is to come up with thirty-two new buses at Shahrah-e-Faisal.  So that people can opt for public transport instead of bringing in their own private vehicles. Due to which the traffic at this busy area will be decreased.

Furthermore, this project is not limited to one area only. In future and after successful completion of the project at Shahrah-e-Faisal.  The projects will expand its wings to other areas in the city, covering approximately five other routes. This project was approved at Chief Minister house which was chaired by Chief Minister Sindh. The government would deposit PKR.2 billion in Sindh Modaraba Company initially. This amount is substantial and aimed towards supporting the program for upcoming five years.
