Just like its competitor Honda, Yamaha has also launched a campaign on the occasion of World Environment Day. The campaign is designed for the Indian market and more or less it is similar in nature to Honda campaign. However, Yamaha is going to conduct the campaign for a total of one week particularly from June 5 to June 11. Under the environment protection campaign, trees will be planted at its retail and dealership outlets.
Moreover, Yamaha will also be conducting numerous awareness workshops for its employees during this one week period. The company employees will be educated on topics such as consequences of plastic use and how to minimize its use. Also, the chosen awareness topic is in accordance with UNO theme for 2018 “Beat Plastic Pollution”. Furthermore, the company Yamaha also says that they have even distributed plants among its employee. The company claims that they have distributed about 5000 plants of Tulsi and planted almost 100 trees so far. Just like Honda, they have also set up camps for pollution check-up at their 23 outlets across India. However, they haven’t really mentioned if the pollution check-up is free or will charge a certain amount.
